Michael opens the door to get out, but in the next shot he climbs out the driver's window.
Angie opens her door to get out, but in the next shot exits the car on the driver's side.
Trans Ams with stock steering wheels. The car at 23:05 is the only one to have a mock-up of K.I.T.T.'s distinctive curved dash.

A closer look at these shots reveals the car (wearing its protective rubber shell) is covered in explosive squibs.

STUNTS & DOUBLES:
A double for Hasselhoff rescues a double for McCusker. A stunt driver is in control of the car, in an unusual version of the stunt seat.
A cable can be seen coming into the car at 3:55 and 25:43, while part of the camera rig is taped to the windshield at 26:22.
A rolled-up script sits on the passenger seat.
