Michael pursues the traffickers of deadly chemicals after a bust goes wrong and a young dancer is killed. Matters are complicated when another attempt on Michael's life sees his new date poisoned and time running out...

TRIVIA:
David Hasselhoff's sister Jean plays Rosemary the receptionist in this episode.
The poison is derived from the exceptionally rare Hybrid Jantilius orchid. Paul Renard is the only horticulturalist in the Los Angeles area with any success growing them. One fluid ounce of Hybrid Jantilius poison has the killing power of 25 gallons of Cyanide.
K.I.T.T. describes himself as "a Knight Industries Two Thousand, with 1000 Mega Bits of memory, and a 1 nano-second access time."
This episode reuses footage from the climax of the pilot episode KNIGHT OF THE PHOENIX, right down to the name of the airport.
SCRIPT TO SCREEN:
Michael was originally poisoned by the glass of orange juice that Cindy drinks. His condition worsened slowly throughout the early drafts, instead of being given the concentrated injection he receives in the episode.
The hastily re-written second draft immediately takes the shape of the finished episode. The final sequence remains the same as in the first draft, however; as soon as Michael retrieves the antidote, K.I.T.T. rushes him to emergency hospital, where the doctors administer the cure to Michael and Cindy. In the show, this all takes place at the airport.
