TRIVIA:

This was director Georg Fenady's first episode of Knight Rider. He would go on to direct many more episodes of the series, including the fourth season premiere KNIGHT OF THE JUGGERNAUT.

Angel Tompkins previously appeared in the episode NOBODY DOES IT BETTER. Melinda O. Fee starred in the 1970s adventure series The Invisible Man opposite David McCallum, who played the evil Mobius in TEAM KNIGHT RIDER.

SCRIPT TO SCREEN:

The script specifies that when Carrie's car "disappears" it actually boards one of the boxcars in the train that blocks K.I.T.T.'s path.

Early drafts featured a couple of surfer-types named Jan and Dean who have entered their custom van in the show. They fail to make the episode.

Early drafts also had Carrie framed for the thefts when the real criminals planted an identical wig in her motel room.

A hobo was originally written in to witness K.I.T.T.'s Turbo Boost over the train.

Suzanne originally disturbed Michael as he searched her room. She assumed he was there in response to her invite, and her presence gives Carrie's jealousy some foundation.
