TRIVIA:

The Foundation buildings were designed by architect Matt Erickson.

Bonnie's prison number is 12875. She finds herself in solitary confinement after picking a fight during the prison volleyball game, thereby allowing Michael to break in.

K.I.T.T. uses Super Pursuit Mode at night in this episode -- and only twice in the whole season. The only other time SPM is used after dark is in the episode DEADLY KNIGHTSHADE.

Victoria Bass previously appeared in the episode KNIGHT AND KNERD. Rosalind Ingledew also appears in the second season episode A GOOD KNIGHT'S WORK. Domenick Brascia can also be seen in KNIGHT OF THE CHAMELEON.

SCRIPT TO SCREEN:

This episode began life as an unproduced script for the third season, entitled Girls' Knight Out. It tells the story of crooked prison warden Christine Briggs and her guard Captain Nelson, who use inmates to commit petty crimes. Here they target Bonnie's friend, a Beverly Hills lawyer who is seriously injured as they flee the scene in his stolen car. While the basic premise survives, the story remains radically different from this episode, with only a few characters and scenes making it through the rewrites (which were performed by Gregory S. Dinallo).

According to the script, Nelson is "thirty, athletic, handsome, cool," and Briggs is "thirty-eight, vicious, efficient, in charge." Julie Rogers is simply described as "attractive, petite, blonde."
