David Hasselhoff on the making of this episode: "I had to hang from a helicopter," he said. "The stunt went like this: The helicopter flew over a moving car in which I was riding. (Another guy was driving the car.) I had to grab onto the skid of the helicopter and the 'copter dragged me 30 metres into the air. I stood on the side of the helicopter skid and appeared to fly the 'copter. Actually, another guy was flying it from the other side of the cockpit.

Bonnie's father wanted her to work in medicine. She says she had to practically slash her wrists to convince him that she couldn't stand the sight of blood.

Maggie Flynn is a member of the Foundation's Board of Trustees. We meet another, George Atherton (Jon Cypher) in the episode Soul Survivor, and see the Board in action (sans Flynn and Atherton) in Knight of the Juggernaut.

The light configuration seen on K.I.T.T.'s voice modulator is different to every other episode. K.I.T.T. also states that part of his circuitry was developed in the Engineering Department of Stanford University.

Guest star Alex Kubik also appears in the episodes Big Iron and Junk Yard Dog. June Christopher guest stars in The Final Verdict (this same season), while Fitzhugh G. Houston also appears in the episode Brother's Keeper.

SCRIPT TO SCREEN:

At the third draft stage, the story was still without a Tag. A sequence from the original filmed version turns up in the show's teaser, with Michael and Jane attending a party at the Foundation retreat.

As with other early scripts, Devon's exchanges with Michael often read as abrasive and rude. However, Edward Mulhare's delivery here is somewhat playful when he states that bending the rules would be nothing new to Michael -- already bonds are forming between the characters.
