SYNOPSIS:
After a young journalist is run off the road and nearly killed, Michael and K.I.T.T. arrive in the sleepy town of Marberry -- a town that is about to be woken up by a road rally that drives right through it. Entering K.I.T.T. in the competition, Michael has to find out who is sabotaging the race -- and the clues lead straight to the Mob.

SCRIPT TO SCREEN:
The matter of saving Jamie from the Rooster's car was added in later drafts. Originally, Rome was holding her hostage at the Nineteenth Hole, and Michael and K.I.T.T. rescued her while apprehending him.
